Guardian Home

  • MSDNC will pay $500 per litter for female guardian dogs to compensate for any needs during pregnancy and time away during the whelping process. Guardian home will receive the $500 when dog is returned after weaning.

  • Pick of the litter choice ($500 off) this will negate the $500 after whelping

  • We would love to have your dog visit while you're on vacation or need some where for your dog to go.  This will also make for an easier transition once dog comes to stay for breeding or whelping.

  • MSDNC will cover spay up to the amount of $400 upon completion of breeding program or if warranted by health conditions.

  • MSDNC will give family complete legal rights to dog upon completion of breeding program.

  • Should death occur during whelping, guardian home will be given pick of the litter from next available litter or payment of $1500 towards another puppy IF another litter is not planned.

  • Any medical expenses related to whelping whether they be emergency or non emergency issues will be covered by MSDNC

 

 

Guardian Home Requirements:

  • Have to live within 2 hours of MSDNC.

    • Guardian homes must keep regular grooming and veterinary care.

    • If any injury or death of puppy/dog happen, the guardian home agrees to pay MSDNC the original cost of the puppy/dog.

    • If injury or death occur to any pregnant dam under the guardian home's care, guardian home will pay MSDNC the original cost of the dog.

    • The dog/puppy will have access to safe fenced yard or on leash safely in the yard or neighborhood.

    • Full legal ownership of the dog remains with MSDNC until the dog is retired. At this time legal rights will be transferred to the guardian family.

    • Guardian homes will not have rights to any offspring produced.

    • Guardian homes will let MSDNC know when the heat cycle begins and will bring the dog to MSDNC for breeding. Dog may be picked up once bred, and kept until 2 weeks before the due date. Once the dog has been bred, the guardian home may pick up the dog and keep during pregnancy until 2 weeks before the due date. At this time, dog will be transported to MSDNC for whelping until time of puppy weaning.

    • To ensure no accidental breeding, guardian homes WILL NOT keep other in tact dogs.

    • Guardian homes will provide MSDNC with updates via social media, text messages, pictures, emails and phone calls. Pictures and videos may be used for social media purposes.  MSDNC can also complete in home puppy/dog visits with notice, at our discretion.

    • MSDNC will be allowed keep puppy/dog for socialization with other MSDNC dogs 72 hours every 3-4 months.

    • MSDNC will not place a puppy in to a guardian home that is a breeder or intends to start breeding.

    • Breeding knowingly or unknowingly will NOT be permitted at any time and guardian home will pay MSDNC $15,000 and any legal fees.

    • Notice will be given to MSDNC if residence changes. Guardian home will be responsible for charges to transport dam or sire to MSDNC for breeding.

    • Should guardian family wish to surrender puppy/dog and/or opt out of the breeding program, the puppy/dog will be returned to MSDNC.

    • MSDNC WILL BREED FOR 2 BREEDS.

    • MSDNC reserves the right to confiscate any dog at any time due to health and wellness issues, or other concerns
